Lu You was a warrior poet born in Shaoxing, China on October 17, 1125 (Chinese calendar). Shaoxing, also being the birthplace of Chinese Rice Wine, Lu You became one of it's most prolific consumers. Lu You wrote over 10,000 poems, and according to legend knocked back a cup or two of rice wine to get his creativity going. This bottle is a good introduction to "drinking quality" rice wine. Though matured only 5 years, there is alot going on in the taste and aroma of this wine. The decorative bottle is simple and attractive, making it an inexpensive and unique gift!
